2017 Holiday Tour Theme - I'll Be Home For Christmas!
Remember those who fought for freedom and to restore peace.
The message for Ruthmere's 2017 Holiday season is simply and important. We say "Thank You!" to the brave men and women who defend our nation by honoring both active duty personnel and U.S. military veterans with this year’s theme “I’ll Be Home for Christmas.” Throughout the years, U.S. Armed Forces have fought for our freedom in places far from home, and the holidays have always been the hardest time to be away from family. To honor their sacrifice Ruthmere will be decorated with patriotic décor and vintage U.S. military uniforms from World War I through Vietnam.
We are pleased to announce a special holiday partnership with all area military organizations in northern Indiana and southwestern Michigan, offering free admission for the entire month for active duty military personnel and veterans of the military. For the general public a Special Admission Rate of $2 per person per site has been made possible through a grant from The Community Foundation of Elkhart County. Donations will be collected on site for a variety of local military veteran organizations.
Note, the Havilah Beardsley House will be decorated in a traditional 19th Century Holiday theme for 2017.
